New Choir of Mt. Vernon enriches the lives of its singers, collaborators, and community members in Baltimore through creative music making and regular performances centered on new choral music.
Our choir
New Choir of Mt. Vernon unites singers of a wide range of musical backgrounds through thought-provoking and accessible programs. We focus on secular music by “new” (living and underrepresented) artists. We’re proud to perform premiers and commissioned music in most of our concerts.

Our concerts bring together music and poetry on a different theme each series, and strive to give our audience an immersive experience. You might see us move around the space, you might hear different instrumental accompaniments, and you’ll definitely be invited to stay after for snacks.
